Appalachian Outfitters is a Northeast Ohio outdoor shop that provides quality goods and expert advice for a wide range of adventures. Their staff is well versed and knowledgeable on current standards and equipment.
In rebranding, I sought to streamline their appearance and put the outdoors at the center, as they have centered it in their lives. Clean lines and typography reflect on the quiet simplicity of life outdoors and colors evoke sprawling forests, bluebird skies in the mountains, and vibrant sunsets from the ridge after a long day of exploring.
The updated logo abstracts an A-frame tent while retaining clarity and brand recognition. It can be scaled for use in store as well as on stickers, patches, and bottles, as is commonly done in the outdoor industry.
